About IA Drama Club
IA Drama Club was founded in 2022 as a student club at Innovation Academy. Formerly known as the Science of Theatre, IA Drama Club was crafted in response to a lack of arts and creative education at IA. The club's main goal is to foster growth and learning through thespian arts and stage management that culminates in a live performance for the greater Alpharetta community once a semester.
Students can participate as part of each live production, or they can participate in a supportive capacity as a club member that runs fundraising events to help fund production costs as they arise.
From the Ground Up
Brainstorm + Build + Believe
Our students bring their IT and Engineering expertise with them as they pursue artistic endeavors after school. Our senior Engineering students have led the rest of cast and crew on build days, and all of our sets are self-constructed by the students. There is a whole other side to drama that occurs backstage and before the big show, and students are at the forefront of all steps of the process.
Donate to IA Drama Club
Our program takes place in a STEM Magnet High School with no fine arts representation in the curriculum. All arts programs and clubs take place after school and are self-funded. Please consider donating to our general fund or for specific needs here at IA Drama as they arise. 100% of your money will go towards club resources and production costs.
You can write a check out to "Innovation Academy" with "Drama Club Donation" written in the memo line to ensure the funds are directly deposited into our accounts. All donations must include a letter of intent. You can print this pre-written letter to sign and send to the office. Thank you for considering donating!

Where should I park?
Turn onto Teasely St from Milton Avenue, then park along the backside of the school. The auditorium is a straight walk up.
